Untrimmed Tree
The Outreach and Response Committee is thrilled to announce a new spin on the Untrimmed Tree project, which will begin on December 1st. This year you are invited to shop for (and give financially) to 3 different organizations. Each week of Advent we will tell you a bit about and collect items and money for a specific local organization that serves those in need. Please choose a star from one of the two trees (one in the Narthex, one outside the office) and purchase the items listed (or follow the directions for making a financial donation). Donations may be made through the church website or by mailing a check to the church office. O&R has chosen the recipients of this year’s donations:

Cornerstone Foundation provides social services, shelters, a soup kitchen, clothing bank, food cupboard, diaper bank and special events to improve the quality of life of the people they serve in Rockville, Vernon and surrounding communities. They are in need of: kitchen items, new adult winter coats, and twin-size white sheet sets.

South Park Inn provides shelter for adults in Hartford. They are in need of: thick socks for adults & children, thinsulate gloves, warm knit hats, and small kits of assorted health & hygiene items

My Sisters Place provides shelter and housing for women and families, and works to change their status from "homeless" to "housed and working." They are in need of: laundry supplies, coats & cold-weather items for women and children. GREEN STARS - Financial donations can be made to these three organizations. Suggested donations of $25.
