UCCT Youth Community Services
Youth
Helping Neighbors

In an effort to help those in need in our own backyard
as well as beyond, UCCT Youth Fellowship is entering
into long-term relationships with two groups that will
provide great opportunities for community service
projects. The first is Tri-County ARC which
sponsors adult group homes right here in Tolland and in
Coventry. Over the next few months, we will be
providing various services including small upkeep and
repair projects, seasonal chores, holiday activities,
and companionship.
The
second organization is FoodShare.
FoodShare is the heart of greater Hartford’s fight against hunger.
They bring together individuals and organizations to create effective
solutions to end hunger in all 42 towns of Hartford and Tolland counties.
Some of these activities will include food drives, fundraisers, and
volunteering at events and in the FoodShare warehouse in Bloomfield.
One specific exciting opportunity for PFers is gleaning farmer’s fields in
the fall. FoodShare gets invited by farmers after the harvest to glean
the remaining produce from their fields for their food bank. UCCT PF
has enlisted as one of their volunteer teams to join in the “post-harvest
harvest!”

High
School Ministries
All High School students
are invited and encouraged to attend the
worship service and communion the first Sunday of each month.
We have members of the congregation fill in as
assistants for Sunday School in the absence of the High Schoolers.
Please contact Amie Giguere for more information.
Join the Joyful
Voices
The Joyful Voices welcome anyone in grade 5
through high school. We rehearse almost every Sunday morning from 9:30 to
10:00 a.m., and frequently sing for a service. Our only requirements are that
you enjoy singing and that you will be faithful at rehearsals.
For more information please contact Kathy
Nivison (875-1583 or newgram@aol.com).
We look forward to hearing from you!
