Relay for Life of Tolland County
Friday
and Saturday, June 10 and 11
This was the third year that our team, U C Us
Walk For the Cure, has participated in the
Tolland County Relay For Life and, once again,
in spite of
mother nature's desire to wash us out we have exceeded our goal of $14,000 and
remain the highest fundraising team!!
While the registered team members are the ones out front, the support
of the congregation by way of personal donations, music and wine tasting
education, and baking for the fundraiser and the Relay event itself, is very
active and very much appreciated.
The goal of the Relay is, of course, to raise
funds for research and much needed services for
those with cancer.
On a personal level it is an opportunity
for each of us to be in community with one
another, building friendships, supporting those
who are touched by cancer, remembering those
we’ve lost, and knowing that together we are
making a difference.
