music offerings from September through June. Generally our listings are
from events in the greater Hartford area, with a few
outstanding exceptions.

These musicians play period instruments an have
studied early music at the Juilliard School and
at Yale University.They are known for their
“well-thought-out articulation and phrasing” and
their “elegant string playing, . . . tuning, and
balance” and specialize in Baroque and Classical
music as well as newly commissioned works for
period instruments.They were
recently named the artists-in-residence at
Emanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester, CT.

Amy Gallatin and renowned resophonic guitarist
Roger Williams explore their mutual love of
country standards in a bluegrass vein, joined by
other instrumentalists, resulting in a
toe-tapping blend of heartfelt vocals, soaring
harmonies, and red-hot picking, traditional yet
modern and distinct.
The Community Center opens to the public at 7:00
for folk-tailgating (bring your own picnic and

Union Congregational

This is a joint effort by
regional
church choirs in singing favorite hymns and
anthems. Choirs from Ellington, Windsor,
Stafford Springs, South Windsor, Vernon,
Rockville, Manchester, and Tolland will be
participating. Each director will conduct
portions of the program.

Windsor
Mr. Del Pino is recognized as a leading Spanish
concert pianist.He has performed around the world and
soloed with prestigious symphony orchestras, and
has been recognized for his interpretation of
Spanish music.
This unique
performance brings together CitySingers of
Hartford and the Choir School of Hartford to
perform John Rutter’s Mass of the Children,
written in memory of Rutter’is son.
The
program will also include two of G. F. Handel’s
Coronation Anthems:The King Shall Rejoice and Zadok, written
for King George’s Coronation in 1727.
Each work
is scored for choir and orchestra.
