Men's Lunch
Retired Men's Lunch Group
The retired men of the church gather for lunch on the
first Monday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at Willington Pizza. We enjoy fellowship and discuss topics relevant to retired men. The
group was established in 1994 by Rev. Don Miller as the only church purely
social group giving men a chance to visit and dine with one another.
The average number of men attending the luncheons is about 25.
Our speakers include the Parish Nurses
demonstrating the Automatic External Defibrillator, David Bittner
describing his work as a conductor and engineer on area railroads, Dick
Symonds speaking about the Tolland Fire Department, and we've had several
other interesting speakers. In May 2009 the group visited the
Burton Family Family Football Complex at UConn.
Retired men are welcome to
drop in. There is always room astt our table. If you have
ideas for speakers, contact Don Miller.
