Library/Reading Room

We have a reader/friendly library across the hall from Fellowship Hall.  There are no overdue fines or time limits for borrowing books.  We have lots of spiritual books by well known ministers and educators.

There are books for adults, children and toddlers.  Book donations are always welcome.  We hope to have the majority of our books about spirituality.  After we hear Rev. Wright's great sermons on Sundays, sometimes we need more spiritual food during the week.  That's what the library is for.  It's a resource for nurturing spiritual growth.

Our room is bright and exciting and has comfortable chairs, so spend some time.  Come visit us!

If you would like to donate a book in honor of, or in memory of someone,  please email me at Rufilius@aol.com.  A special bookplate will be added.  Please  leave the book at the front office.  Hannah and I will catalogue it, and notify you when it is in our collection.

Authors in our Congregation

We are pleased to note that several books have been authored by various members of our "church family."

Donna Mendenhall

Donna J. L. Mendenhall's Love Never Ends, describes her personal account of "living with" cancer and is illustrated beautifully by Leanne Peters.

Anesti Nova

Anesti Nova is, a musician and restaurateur. In A Man of Two Worlds, he recounts his memoirs from Istanbul to America.

Suzy and Rufus Kline

Suzy Kline, author of the very popular Horrible Harry series of children's books, and her husband and author, Rufus, are also part of our church family.  Mmm.  One book picture won't do it for Suzy.  Google Suzy Kline and . . . well, enough said.  Also, check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horrible_Harry. Rufus wrote Watch Out for These Weirdos, a children's book.

Rev. Robert Wright

Rev. Wright's Christmas book, The Perfect Christmas, with illustrations by his daughter, also remains available.

Marshall Atwater

Marshall Atwater's book, The Church on Tolland Green, gives a history of our church from 1722-2007 and copies may still be on sale in the church office.

Marshall has publications regarding regional variations of solar radiation with application to solar energy system design and other technical works related to weather.

Rev. Judy Medeiros

Rev. Judy wrote Through My Eyes: A Child's Journey Through Illness, a children's book presented to Boston's Children's Hospital.

Jeff Hutton

Jeff wrote Inside Out: The Art and Craft of Home Landscaping and Perfect Silence, his first novel about a baseball-playing farm boy's journey into the hell of war.
