Our Christian Education Mission

To nurture children, youth and adults in becoming followers of Jesus:  people who know and love God, interpret God’s word, belong to God’s gathered community, and share God’s good news.

Goals

• Develop, foster and maintain a safe, comprehensive and vital program of Christian Education for the church.

• To nurture children and youth in their faith formation and sharing that faith through service.

• To strengthen the connection between home and congregation, including church-wide fellowship.

• To explore what it means to follow in the footsteps of Jesus in Christian community.

• To teach biblical truths in such a  way that they can be applied to daily life.

Notes to Families

• Watch for monthly upcoming events in the Tidings. Church School offering envelopes are available to encourage young stewardship.

• Please feel free to express interest in what your children are learning in worship and class by asking questions of them, teachers, or any member of the Christian Education Committee

• Parents are welcome to visit classrooms at any time, or volunteer their time and talents in other ways.  See the registration form for specifics.

Please abide by the following

• Help maintain wellness among our tots by keeping sick children at home.

• Children in Grade 5 and younger must be escorted to and picked up from class by an adult.

• Please wait for classes to conclude before picking up your child.

• Please supervise your children at all times when they are not in class.

• Parents/guardians are expected to be available during church school in case of an emergency.
